How To Curl

Our year 10 Gifted and Talented group had their first trip 
out at the end of last term and learned how to curl at 
Lockerbie Ice Rink. 

We spent our first hour learning the skills required such as 
pushing off across the ice with the curling stone, turning the 
stone to make it curl towards the target and brushing the ice 
to make the stone move faster.  

We then had a competition amongst ourselves.

A fun and educational day was had by all.

Options evening in school
introductory talk at 6.00pm, and afterwards, an opportunity to meet with subject teachers, pastoral team leaders, senior leaders and a member of the Connexions service.
