WELCOME TO WHITEHAVEN SCHOOL

Whitehaven School was established as a fully comprehensive co-educational 11-18 county day school in 1984 following reorganisation of educational provision in West Cumbria.  The school is situated at the south east of the town of Whitehaven and serves the whole of the Whitehaven area, from St Bees to the south to Lowca in the north and Moresby in the east.  The school campus is large and students, needs are well catered for through departmental suites and pastoral bases.

There are extensive computer facilities and excellent accommodation for the Arts, Sports and Technologies.  The school's designation as Specialist College for Mathematics and Computing has meant the improvement of facilities and the development of courses for students in school and for those enrolled on our Adult Education programme.

The School reopens for all Students on Monday 6th September 2010
